Tríona is an RIAI Registered Architect and qualified Urban Designer who received her Professional Diploma in Architecture from UCD.
Tríona completed her studies in 2010 with a Master of Science of Urban Design + Architecture from the University of Edinburgh. Graduated from Edinburgh College ofArt with A Higher Diploma in Architecture in 2008 and a Bachelor of Architecture in 2007.
Tríona feels strongly about having a sustainable approach to design, basing her MSc. project on how to live without dependency on the car. Tríona loves research and has a keen interest in planning policy and the social aspect to design.
She is deeply passionate about the historical cultural context of the built form and especially with regard to the juxtaposition between new and old. Has experience of working on conservation and community-based projects both in Ireland and the UK. Thoroughly enjoys working on design intervention and the restoration of historical buildings and protected structures. She is competent in report writing and was recognised by peers for preparing Architectural Heritage Impact Assessment for the Department of Education and Science. Has a keen interest in education and was an Ambassador for Architecture during her studies at eca.
Has a passion for good design practice, thrives on the varied projects undertaken by Southgate Associates and enjoys nothing more than being out on site with the Design Team.
